A new chapter was written in John Terry’s horrific season during Chelsea’s clash with Everton on Saturday – but he made amends with a 98th-minute backheel to snatch a 3-3 draw.
The former England captain watched in horror as Leighton Baines’ low cross ricocheted off his right leg, onto his left leg and into the net early in the second half.

He lay dejected on the turf for a few seconds – probably aware that Twitter was entering celebration mode – before starring in a dramatic fight back.
The own goal prompted quite the reaction:

But just as Chelsea looked to be slipping to a 10th Premier League defeat of 2015/16, Terry popped up at the death to grab a point.
Many fans were furious the goal was allowed because: a) it was scored at 97:53 (seven minutes were signalled for injury time), and b) he was in an offside position.
