Britain’s Fed Cup captain Judy Murray believes Laura Robson is on the right track as she seeks to make a long-awaited return from injury.
The 21-year-old former British No1 has tumbled to 557 in the
world rankings after struggling with wrist injuries in the last 18
months – though is still able to enter a grand slam tournament with a
protected ranking of 58.
Robson played in only 10 singles matches last year, but last
month stated she had not contemplated retirement and is set to compete
in a qualifying event today in Florida.
And Murray, who has included Robson in her Fed Cup team set to play
Israel next month, has given the Australian-born star her full support.
